Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association (MEMA)
The Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association (MEMA) is an organization of professionals dedicated to fostering relationships and improving how we collectively prepare, respond and recover from disasters. MEMA seeks to strengthen the communities in which we serve to create a foundation of resiliency for future generations.
Members are connected by their responsibility for planning, warning, and responding to disasters. Members are from public, private, and volunteer organizations that operate within and are located within the ten county Twin Cities metropolitan area: Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, and the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Upcoming Meeting Information
MEMA's December meeting speaker will be someone from the Minnesota Crisis Intervention Team (MNCIT).
The mission of MNCIT is to provide law enforcement personnel and mental health professionals with information and training in how to safely and compassionately handle a person in a mental health crisis.
