Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association (MEMA)

The Metropolitan Emergency Managers Association (MEMA) is an organization of professionals dedicated to fostering relationships and improving how we collectively prepare, respond and recover from disasters. MEMA seeks to strengthen the communities in which we serve to create a foundation of resiliency for future generations.

Members are connected by their responsibility for planning, warning, and responding to disasters. Members are from public, private, and volunteer organizations that operate within and are located within the ten county Twin Cities metropolitan area: Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, and the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s State Duty Officer Program.

The Minnesota Duty Officer Program provides a single answering point for local and state agencies to request state-level assistance for emergencies, serious accidents or incidents, or for reporting hazardous materials and petroleum spills. The duty officer is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

September 6th-  Retired coroner, John Fudenberg, from the Clark County Medical Examiner, will discuss Family Assistance Centers & Recovery based on his experience responding to the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
