MEMA hosts monthly meetings for its members and provides the following opportunities:
[Training and Education] Timely topics, upcoming trainings announcements/opportunities and guest speakers each month.
[Networking] Sharing of individual expertise and networking opportunities with others in the field.
[Public Awareness] Activities are coordinated and designed to disseminate consistent and timely information related to emergency management.
[Multi-jurisdictional Activities] Sponsorship of a variety of multi-jurisdictional activities including large-scale exercises and training efforts.
[Monitoring and Supporting Legislation] MEMA provides an opportunity to collectively affect issues of concern to emergency management.
[Collaboration] Providing an open environment in which public and private sectors may discuss common issues relating to disaster preparedness and response.
